Jersey Junction was created, owned and operated in 1963 by Doris “Chris” Van Allsburg. The Van Allsburg family owned and
operated East End Creamery in Grand Rapids and Jersey Junction became an offshoot of the Creamery. The ice cream shop is
located in the old DeGolia Hardware – plumbing and heating warehouse at 652 Croswell Avenue SE. DeGolia’s main shop was
located at 2162 Wealthy in what was through the years: S&S Record Shop; Sinfonia Record Shop; Burger Inn East, Gaslight Inn
restaurant and Olive’s restaurant.
