SS Florence is sold in 1902. Mona Lake in Muskegon is its new home.

After John Honore Poisson died in 1901 his property on the west shore of Reeds Lake [in the approximate location of the Grand Rapids Yacht Club, 2023] is under ownership of Frank H. Berles. Berles sells the lakefront land and with it the SS Florence.

The SS Florence was John Honore Poisson's first large steamboat. It plied Reeds Lake from 1883 to 1901. It was sold to a party in Muskegon, Michigan in 1902 and sailed on Mona Lake.

The Poisson family had a fleet of smaller steamers. The Sport was the early one. Newspaper clippings of the day seemed to exaggerate the number of passengers that could ride this vessel.
